Why We Built This Site
Texas permits public access to many court records, but the correct office depends on the case. The Dawson County District Clerk is the starting custodian for 106th Judicial District Court files. The County Clerk handles constitutional County Court and probate matters, while Justice and municipal clerks keep their own lower-court dockets. re:SearchTX can help locate participating cases. We bring these distinct channels together without treating an online result as the official file.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Dawson County
- Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
- Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Texas court, clerk, or state agency. Our role has firm limits:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They operate their own products and set their own prices. A paid signup may result in a referral fee that supports this resource. We neither set those charges nor control the records returned by a partner tool.
